Magdalaine S. Ebeade acted as lead, general counsel for two chapter 7 trustees in hundreds of cases involving all aspects of estate administration, which included but was not limited to investigating the debtor’s financial dealings, evaluating potential assets, determining the status of potential liens and ownership interests, assisting in procuring offers and conducting informal auctions to liquidate assets, advising the trustees regarding the assumption and rejection of executory contracts, negotiating compromises of controversies, prosecuting objections to exemptions and objections to creditors’ claims, opposing motions for relief from stay, and prosecuting and defending various other contested matters and adversary proceedings, typically involving issues such as objections to discharge, avoidance of liens, collection of receivables, avoidance of fraudulent and preferential transfers, and other actions to recover and liquidate property of the estate.
